Annual Holiday Soiree proceeds benefit Chapter UTD scholarship
Close to 100 members and guests attended the CoreNet Global Southwest Holiday Soiree on December 11th at Humanscale's offices Downtown at 800 Jackson St. The event was generously sponsored by Humanscale, Tandus-Centiva and Workplace Solutions.
Almost $1000 was raised that contributes towards the Southwest Chapter's commitment to fund a $100,000 endowment for the CoreNet Southwest UTD Real Estate Program Scholarship/Fellowship through the UTD Naveen Jindal School of Management. The $100,000 endowment will be used to provide scholarships and fellowships for the University's Real Estate Program in concert with students’ participation with local CoreNet Global chapter events and Young Leaders program.
JJ Williams, incoming President for the Southwest Chapter stated, ”We are very excited about our new partnership with UTD as our cooperation with the University really bridges our commitment to education and elevating the level of professionalism for today and tomorrow's leaders in the commercial real estate industry".

CoreNet Southwest donates $50,000 to fund UT Dallas real estate scholarships, fellowships
CoreNet Southwest announced Thursday at the D CEO C-Suite Luncheon that it is donating $50,000 to the University of Texas at Dallas Real Estate Program to fund an endowment for student scholarships and fellowships. The CoreNet Southwest UTD Real Estate Program Scholarship/Fellowship endowment was presented at CoreNet's third annual D CEO C-Suite Panel Luncheon Thursday, Sept. 25th, to Dr. Randall Guttery, Director of Real Estate Programs for the UT Dallas Jindal School of Management.
According to Gensler Principal Ted Kollaja, the president of CoreNet Southwest, CoreNet's conctribution was raised primarily through the proceeds of its annual golf tournament, which this year was held in May at Old American Golf Club in The Colony. More than 100 golfers and tournament sponsors participated in the networking event. The next CoreNet Southwest Golf Experience is scheduled for Oct. 5, 2015 at Las Colinas Country Club in Irving.
