To everyone in the CoreNet
Global membership network worldwide, I ask for your support as I accept the
request of Chairman Barry Varcoe and the Global Board of Directors to serve as
Interim Chief Executive Officer for the next six months.
It’s an honor to step into this
important role at a pivotal time for our organization, our industry and the
economy as a whole.
But it’s also a huge
responsibility – one that I can’t fulfill without your continued involvement as
a member.
Yes, my experience in the
corporate world, combined with my service at the Board level of CoreNet Global,
provides me with a broad view of the association and of the real estate industry
as a whole. But it’s incomplete without your voice.
So I look forward to touching
base with or hearing from as many of you in the coming months as time, space and
technology allow.
I’m not here to serve as a
caretaker. Rather, I’ll apply my experience and contacts to keep CoreNet Global
moving forward in key areas that impact on the quality of your membership
experience, and – ultimately – on advancing your company and career.
One recent, important step
we’ve taken is the introduction of our members-only NetWORK social networking
site, on which this first blog installment resides.
