'Who's Who in Fortune 1000' Effect Pumps Vegas Registration Trend

Our Oct 12 - 14 Las Vegas Global Summit is shaping up as one of the 'must attend' events on 2009's economically-ravaged landscape. Take a look at who's going to be there, and you'll get an appreciation for how the demand or occupier side of the corporate real estate (CRE) industry is viewing the event, and the moment for that matter.

The moment coincides with the corporate re-entry into a growth mode, at whatever level the so-called 'new normal' will accomodate.

We've observed how a demand side uptick will help the CoreNet Global network before it benefits other groups serving only the supply side of CRE. That's one of the undercurrents pumping the "Who's Who in Fortune 1000" effect on the Vegas registration list.

There are attendees coming from Singapore, Argentina, Mexico, Costa Rica, Chile, Columbia, British Columbia, Canada, U.K., German, Benelux and from 30 different states in the U.S.

Corporations from adidas to Yahoo will be there, whether they're from distressed sectors or growth industries. Vegas is providing an important setting for them to frame the view of what's next. More emphasis on corporate services, along with compensation for longer-term return on strategy and value, will no doubt be part of the dialogue.

Look more closely at who's coming if you need better evidence: Adobe, AT&T, Bank of America, Coca-Cola, Exxon Mobil, JP Morgan Chase, McKesson, Microsoft, Motorola, Oracle, Pfizer, Shell Oil, Siemens, Sprint, Travelers, and Visa are among the many others who'll be represented from the demand sie at time when there's still a lot of concern for the supply side of CRE.

That's one major reason why all of the leading corporate services people, brokers, location experts, energy managers, architects, economic developers, sustainability professionals and a wide array of other supply-side segments or disciplines will also be there. They include JLL, CBRE, Cushman & Wakefield, CresaPartners, Grubb & Ellis, Capstan Advisors, TVS, Steelcase, Allsteel and many more service provider players.
