CoreNet Global in cooperation with Deloitte Consulting would like your participation in a survey identifying trends and key considerations relative to the selection, adoption, and management of real estate & facilities management information technology platforms.

The industry lacks clarity and direction, given the large investment required by corporations to implement and maintain real estate & facilities management information technology platforms.  The CRE IT landscape remains highly fragmented and real estate service providers have not succeeded in deploying standard information technology across their respective portion of the market. Corporations, therefore, are faced with an “in-source vs. outsource” decision, which is made more complex by the perceived lack of investment on the part of outsourcing firms.

For corporate end users entering into CRE outsourcing contracts, they need to decide whether they should:

  1. Adopt the CRE outsourcing partner’s IT system / platform,
  2. Retain an existing IT system / platform, or
  3. Select and implement an IWMS in-house.

From the perspective of the outsourcing provider, the decision is do they:

  1. Establish and market a single CRE IT application for use by all (or most) clients or
  2. Adopt the different technology systems of its outsourcing clients.

This survey, that will measure both sides of the industry, is expected to take no more than 13-15 minutes and your responses will be kept in strict confidence, only used in summary form without reference to any individual or company. We appreciate you taking the time to share information and advance the development of knowledge for the industry. If you have any questions or suggestions, please feel free to contact Michael Anderson at (manderson@corenetglobal.org).
