I attended a panel discussion recently on the potential for new corporate campuses. The 5M project, here in San Francisco, is being developed by Forest City to provide an urban alternative to the traditional, suburban, low density model. Facebook and Google described their efforts in Menlo Park and Mountain View respectively. While the latter two follow the more familiar model, their commitment to and impact on their communities is causing them to consider issues outside of their own office spaces. Read the article here
