An interesting title for an interesting session! I have always been a bit of a geek in terms of wanting to know about the latest gadgets and IT trends. What struck me in this session is how in today’s world we have a real “fast food” mentality when it comes to information – we want to have it at our fingertips in real time.
The accurate capturing of data into data warehouses is a given and the ability to generate what I would call “2D reports” is old school. Our clients are looking for new ways of data visualization that will enable decision making at the most senior levels. Jones Lang LaSalle is investing heavily in technology including some pretty cool data interfaces that we will be releasing to our clients soon.
